Improved Confidence =
Higher Test Scores!
It is my sincere belief that every student is capable of greatness. Sometimes, however, young people need a chance to recognise and demonstrate their talents. Often tutoring is about confidence building; it allows the tutee to recognise his or her own skills set and put this into practise.
Differentiation Shouldn't be Difficult
I work closely with parents and the tutee's class teacher (if required) in order to offer a rich and diverse curriculum which extends the tutee's learning experience outside of school. I often act on advice from a recent school report, teacher correspondence as well as information gathered from recent parental consultations. In addition, I appreciate that your child will have other commitments outside school. I'm willing to work flexibility around these commitments.
Personalising Your Child's Learning is Paramount!
Common Entrance Preparation....My Speciality!
I have a personalised approach to tutoring. My aim is to develop a rapport with the learner, in order to gain an insight into their personal goals and achievements. This helps me to identify any weaknesses as well as build on the tutee's strengths. I am very exam practice based, teaching core English grammar skills through comprehension tasks. My focus is always on the child's development and improvement, constantly striving for success.
We live in an extremely competitive world and I often admire supportive parents who are willing to make their child's dream a success. To this end, I offer support with common entrance preparation including the 11+ for top local grammar schools such as Reading School and Kendrick Grammar. I also provide tutorials in how to tackle the Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning Papers; for selective local independent schools. In addition, I can advise of the common entrance process for both the 13+ and Sixth Form.

Valentina Palmadori (MD of CV Tutor)
Just a brief email to mention again how engaging and well-structured the sessions were at Heathrow last night. All the students were learning and developing their understanding of the subjects taught. Teachitright is very fortunate to have superb tutors who deliver the 11+ programme. To ensure we maintain a high level of teaching across the company I wondered if at our next training day (twilight session) you might be interested in modelling a session incorporating ICT and how to keep all pupils on task)?

Previous A Level Religious Studies and Sociology Tutee

Anika is now an undergraduate BSc Mathematics student at Kingston University. She is also now a keen public speaker.
I have been really pleased with Jessica, she continued to be very enthusiastic, explained the texts clearly and gave extra information that had not been given in school and my daughter was able to use in the exam [and] although the course was new, Jessica had found multiple texts and made her own questions similar to the sample papers for the exam. In addition, extra resources for poetry were used to cover analysis, history and meaning of each poem. Jessica had covered all the poems with [my daughter] and helped [her] to make the connections needed for the examination. Jessica made English more engaging and pinpointed the specific needs for [my daughter] and how to increase [her] grades, whilst making the tutorials interesting […] Jessica [also] suggested and offered extended reading that would help with the historical context element of the literature exam […] Despite the course being new, Jessica had clearly researched what was needed and how [she] was to achieve the higher grades. Feedback was given after every homework task or other work […] Jessica also knew the previous examination structure for [the] exam board and transferred her knowledge with the new specification to assist [my daughter] throughout.
